DJ Big Papa is also known as Keith Shapiro of Austin, TX.  Keith started the Orlando Blues organization in Orlando, FL and was one of the house DJs there until he moved to Austin.  Now, he is a recurring DJ for the Austin Swing Syndicate and Go Dance. He has been a recurring DJ for SmoothLindy.com, a founding and former house DJ for Kick Butt Blues, and a recurring guest DJ for Soul Jam!

Recently, Big Papa placed third in the DJ competition at East Meets West ’09 in Dallas, TX.

Big Papa is the founder of Pigfoot Productions which puts on Serious Blues Night and Serious Soul Night at The Highball.

Big Papa is also responsible for Confessing The Blues – a monthly podcast about blues music for blues dancers and DJs – check it out!
